ELKINS MARINE TRAINING INTERNATIONAL CENTER    [OPENING SUMMER 2010]

The Elkins companies are pleased to announce the Summer, 2010 opening of Elkins Marine Training International Center (EMTIC). Located in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the new company will provide world-class training to seafarers, Coast Guard personnel, the fishing industry and individuals related to shipping and port operations in the entire GCC region. A state-of-the-art training facility will provide traditional seamanship, navigation and safety training, as well as training for new technologies using advanced Navigation and Radio Simulator equipment.

EMTIC has employed fully qualified, industry experienced professionals from around the world who are among the finest in their field, and will also employ Bahrain Nationals with local and seamanship expertise.

Courses EMTIC will initially conduct:

• STCW-95 Basic Safety Training (BST) courses:
  First Aid & CPR
  Basic Fire Fighting
  Personal Survival Techniques
  Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities
  Global Maritime Distress & Safety (GMDSS) Radio courses:
  General Operators Certificate (GOC)
  Restricted Operators Certificate (ROC) 
  Boat Master courses (Specially designed Captain’s licensing courses for small boat Captains in Bahrain territorial waters)

Other short courses at our Bahrain installation will be soon added, to include a wide range of STCW-95 courses, and other maritime courses, to include:
